The Almighty Allah be praised that the Master of All Sovereignty once again granted us today the opportunity to gather in His remembrance and pleasure. Millions and billions of blessings and salutations upon the Leader of the Prophets, the Beloved of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa, peace and blessings be upon him, through whom this grace has been granted.

Respected audience! Allah Almighty has said in the Holy Qur’an:

“And those who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins—and who can forgive sins except Allah? And they do not persist knowingly in what they have done. Their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. And excellent is the reward of those who do good.”

By revealing this blessed verse, Allah Almighty has, on the one hand, declared Himself Merciful and Generous, and on the other has taught His servants how to save themselves from the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. Thirdly, He has mentioned a wonderful point: the greatest deed is to remember Allah Almighty, and the reward for this greatest deed is also the greatest. That reward is that Allah Almighty covers His servant with His mercy, forgives his sins, and grants him a noble and magnificent place in his eternal life. An example of this is that, no matter how great a sin may be, when a servant recognizes it as a sin and then, feeling remorse for it, turns towards Allah Almighty, he is not asked, “Why did you commit this sin? Why did you disobey this command? And now you will certainly be punished.” Rather, Allah Almighty is so pleased with His servant’s turning back to Him that He immediately forgives and bestows blessings.

It is mentioned in a blessed Hadith that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “When a person turns to Allah Almighty properly and seeks forgiveness, the Master forgives him out of His mercy and covers his sins to such an extent that people forget he was a sinner. Then people begin to honor and respect him. He then bestows such favor upon him that He transforms all his sins into good deeds, and then admits him into Paradise forever.

Respected audience! If anyone thinks they are not a sinner and do not need forgiveness or repentance, then they are the greatest fool and most unfortunate of people. A human being is full of faults, and Allah Almighty has shown that the way to seek forgiveness is to remember Allah and then ask forgiveness for our sins. All praise is due to Allah that He has granted us the ability to follow this way, and we have gathered here to remember Him and to seek forgiveness for our heedlessness. Today, by remembering Him and invoking these blessed awraad and the intercession of His beloved Prophet (PBUH), we seek forgiveness for our mistakes and say: O Pure Allah! Accept this effort of ours in Your presence. Grant us forgiveness for our mistakes, shortcomings, and heedlessness. Make us true servants of You and of Your beloved Prophet, and make us deserving of all those blessings that You, through Your grace, have prepared for Your servants. And save us from Your wrath and displeasure.

The blessed Aurad-e-Naziriyah were recited, and supplication was made.
