Speech No. 24

All praise is for Allah.

Countless thanks to Allah Almighty, the Sovereign of all creation, Who has once again granted us the opportunity and ability to gather here for His pleasure, in His remembrance, and in His love. Millions and billions of blessings and salutations be upon the Leader of the Prophets, the Beloved of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), through whose blessed mediation we have been granted these favors.

Respected listeners!

Love is such a state of the heart and mind that when one truly loves someone, one’s thoughts and feelings remain absorbed in that beloved. One longs to see them, to hear their words, and one’s heart remains attached to them. In reality, there is only one true and everlasting love—one that is based upon truth, free from betrayal, and never perishes. That is the love of Allah Almighty and His Noble Messenger (PBUH). Whoever is blessed with this treasure has, in fact, attained the entire universe.

All praise be to Allah, Who, through the blessings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), granted this precious wealth from the very beginning and repeatedly bestowed the opportunity to visit those sacred places. It is because of this love that serving the creation of Allah day and night has remained dear to me, and every action that pleases my Lord has always been beloved to me.

The greatest means of attaining Allah’s pleasure is serving His creation. To become worthy of serving His creation, one should visit the House of Allah, present oneself at the sacred shrine of His Beloved Prophet (PBUH), and supplicate at those blessed places.

Praise be to Allah, Who granted both the opportunity and steadfastness. From childhood until now, when my beard has turned white, this has remained my practice and devotion.

Someone once asked me, “Hajj is obligatory only once in a lifetime. What is the significance of your repeated journeys for Hajj?” In reality, when Hajj was made obligatory, the Companions asked, “O Messenger of Allah (PBUH), is it obligatory every year or only once?” The Prophet (PBUH) replied that it was obligatory only once. When they asked again, he gave the same answer. Upon being asked a third time, he said that Hajj is obligatory only once and added that if he had said “yes” to it being obligatory every year, it would have become extremely difficult for the believers.

From this, it becomes clear that every visit to the Sacred House brings freshness and renewal to the heart and soul. Supplication made sincerely can be accepted anywhere, but the superiority of those sacred places is undeniable. The spirituality of those places transforms the very state of supplication. A unique condition overtakes a person, causing them to forget themselves completely, and this state is essential for the acceptance of prayers.

My prayers are always for you. Whenever I become a traveler to the Sacred Sanctuary, you remain in my heart. When I enter the boundaries of the Haram, I find you in my heart. Your love, enthusiasm, and hardships come before my eyes. When I circumambulate the House of Allah, I find you in my heart. When I run between Safa and Marwah like one overwhelmed with love, I find you in my heart. When I present myself at the blessed Rawdah of the Prophet (PBUH), I find you in my heart. And when I depart from that sacred land, spreading my hands before Allah as a humble traveler and beggar, you are still present in my heart.

Indeed, Allah has bestowed a tremendous favor upon you, for which no amount of gratitude can suffice: He has blessed you with love for His Beloved Prophet (PBUH).

It is this love and longing that compels you to leave behind your homes, families, parents, and children whenever you hear that a messenger from among us is traveling to the blessed court of the Prophet (PBUH). This is the greatest and most beloved form of love in the sight of Allah.

Merely performing Hajj is not enough. Even those who spend their lives studying sacred texts with the intention of finding faults in the honor of the Prophet (PBUH) also perform Hajj. There are even people living in those holy places who remain deprived of true spiritual presence.

It is narrated that a saint was returning from Hajj when he saw a man in the darkness of the night weeping bitterly. He asked, “What sorrow has caused you such distress?” The man replied, “For many years I have longed to visit the House of Allah and present myself at the blessed shrine of the Prophet (PBUH), but my prayer has not yet been fulfilled. Even this year, despite making preparations, I could not go, and I am weeping over my fate.” Upon hearing this, the saint said, “Take my four Hajj pilgrimages, but please grant me the burning longing and yearning that you possess.”

This longing and yearning are among Allah’s greatest favors. It is this very passion that has brought you here, and through it, God willing, you have attained all the spiritual blessings that a true pilgrim receives.

Therefore, you should strive to make your life pure and righteous in accordance with the commands and pleasure of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH). Your speech, conduct, words, and actions should conform to the commands of Allah and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), so that you may attain the highest stages of life.

May Allah Almighty, by virtue of His Sacred Essence, His Holy Qur’an, and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), forgive our past sins and mistakes. May He remove the darkness from our hearts and illuminate them with the light of divine recognition. May our life, death, wealth, soul, words, and deeds all be devoted solely to His pleasure. May He grant us His love and servitude, along with the love and servitude of His Beloved Prophet (PBUH). May Allah bless the childless with children, enrich the needy, and grant healing to the sick.

Pray also for those who serve in the Langar, who have selflessly served you with their wealth and efforts solely for the sake of Allah. May Allah grant them a great reward.

Now let us begin:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Aurad-e-Naziriyah Sharif was recited, and supplication was offered.
