Pir Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib

Pir Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib, The Current Custodian & Healer of Hearts

The current custodian (Sajjada Nasheen) of Mohra Sharif is Khadim-e-Islam, Qutb-ul-Irshad, Ameer Silsila Nisbat-e-Rasooli ﷺ, Al-Haaj Pir Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib. He is a spiritual leader whose life and work bring together the knowledge of modern science and the timeless wisdom of the Sufi tradition. Entrusted with the continuation of the spiritual mission of Mohra Sharif by Hazrat Pir Haroon-ur-Rashid Sahib (رحمۃ اللہ علیہ), he was formally declared the Wali-e-Ahed (appointed successor), with the visionary blessing that he would serve the Ummah in an unprecedented manner.

As the custodian of Mohra Sharif, Pir Dr. Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib carries forward the spiritual heritage established by his predecessors. His responsibilities extend beyond preserving the traditions of the Darbar; they also include providing spiritual guidance, encouraging devotion to Allah, promoting love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and serving the needs of the community. Through his leadership of Silsila Nisbat-e-Rasooli ﷺ, he continues to uphold the principles of faith, humility, remembrance of Allah, and service to humanity that form an essential part of the spiritual identity of Mohra Sharif.

A medical doctor by profession and a Sufi poet by soul, Pir Dr. Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib represents a connection between physical healing and spiritual development. His approach reflects the belief that serving humanity is among the meaningful expressions of devotion to Allah. He regards the treatment of physical illness and the healing of spiritual difficulties as complementary responsibilities, emphasizing compassion, kindness, and care for those in need. Through his medical profession and spiritual leadership, he seeks to encourage a life guided by faith, understanding, and service.

One of the most significant aspects of his humanitarian work is the free hospital associated with his service at Mohra Sharif, where he personally attends to people experiencing illness and hardship. Through this service, he puts the principles of compassion and selflessness into practice, offering care to people who need medical assistance. His work reflects the Sufi understanding that the path to the Creator is closely connected with serving His creation. By bringing medical care and spiritual guidance together, he continues the tradition of helping people through both practical support and religious encouragement.

His spiritual responsibilities also include regular gatherings that bring devotees together for prayer, remembrance, and reflection. Every Friday, the central Darbar-e-Aalia mohra sharif murree hosts the sermon and the blessed Mehfil-e-Aurad-e-Naziriya, where devotees participate in collective remembrance of Allah and renew their connection with the teachings of Nisbat-e-Rasooli ﷺ. These gatherings provide an opportunity for spiritual learning, self-reflection, and strengthening the bond between the individual and the Divine.

On Saturdays, Pir Dr. Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib extends this spiritual mission to Islamabad, where a gathering is held at Aastana Alia, Old Embassy Road. Through these weekly gatherings, the message of divine love, remembrance, and devotion reaches devotees living in the capital and surrounding areas. The gatherings provide a setting in which people can step away from the pressures of daily life, reflect on their spiritual responsibilities, and reconnect with the teachings of the Sufi tradition.

Beyond his medical and spiritual responsibilities, Pir Dr. Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib is also a literary figure whose poetry expresses the depth of his devotion and spiritual understanding. His literary works include Arzo-e-Natamam, Khayal Rang, and Rag-e-Jaan. Through these works, he expresses themes associated with Naatia Kalam, love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, spiritual reflection, and Sufi gnosis. His poetry brings together devotional expression and reflections on the human heart, faith, and the search for closeness to Allah.

His literary contributions provide another means of communicating spiritual ideas to readers and devotees. Through poetic language, he explores matters of love, longing, devotion, and the inner journey of the seeker. These themes connect the spiritual heritage of Mohra Sharif with the experiences of people navigating the challenges of contemporary life. His work reflects the continuing role of poetry in expressing devotion and communicating the teachings of the Sufi tradition across generations.

Under his compassionate leadership, Mohra Sharif continues to serve as both a center of spiritual guidance and a place associated with humanitarian support. Its identity rests on the relationship between religious devotion and practical service, bringing together the traditions of the Darbar, regular gatherings of remembrance, medical care, and literary expression. Through these different areas of service, Pir Dr. Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib continues to uphold the mission of Silsila Nisbat-e-Rasooli ﷺ and the spiritual heritage of the Qasimiya Naziria Haroonia order.

His family is also connected with the continuation of this spiritual heritage. His son, Alhajj Shahzada Deedawar Nazir, has been designated as the Wali-e-Ahed (appointed successor) of Mohra Sharif.  This role places him within the continuing family and spiritual lineage associated with Mohra Sharif. As the appointed successor, he represents the next generation entrusted with carrying forward the teachings, responsibilities, and traditions connected with the Darbar and Silsila Nisbat-e-Rasooli ﷺ.

Another son, Alhajj Shahzada Shah Murad Badshah Sahib, is also part of this family lineage and is associated with the ideals of devotion and service. His place within the family reflects the continuing connection between the generations and the spiritual traditions preserved at Mohra sharif murree. Together, the family lineage and its responsibilities form part of the wider story of the Darbar, where spiritual teachings, service to humanity, and devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ remain central to its identity.

The continuation of this heritage represents more than the passing of responsibilities from one generation to another. It reflects an ongoing commitment to preserving the teachings of the spiritual predecessors while serving the needs of contemporary communities. Through spiritual gatherings, humanitarian work, medical service, and devotional literature, the mission of Mohra Sharif continues to connect its historical traditions with the lives of devotees today.

Al-Haaj Pir Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Gohar Nazir Gohar Sahib remains the central custodian of Mohra Sharif and a leading figure in the continuation of Silsila Nisbat-e-Rasooli ﷺ. His work brings together spiritual leadership, medical care, poetry, and service to humanity. Through his guidance and the continuing family lineage, the legacy of Mohra Sharif remains rooted in divine love, remembrance of Allah, devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the belief that serving humanity is an essential expression of faith.
