﷽
All praise is for Allah.
Countless thanks to Allah Almighty, the Sovereign of all kingdoms, Who has once again granted us the opportunity and ability to gather here for His pleasure, in His remembrance, and in His love. Millions and millions of blessings and salutations be upon the Leader of the Prophets, the Beloved of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), through whose blessed means these divine favours have reached us.
Respected listeners! As is customary, we shall begin the recitation of the sacred litanies (Awrad-e-Pak). However, before doing so, it is necessary to understand a few important points.
These sacred litanies consist of the beautiful Names of Allah. They possess immense virtue and honour. They bestow dignity, fulfil desires, elevate ranks, grant aspirations, and those who recite them with sincerity, love, and firm conviction never return empty-handed. Rather, they become enriched with the pleasure and mercy of Allah.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that on the Day of Judgment there will be certain people on the right side of Allah who, although they will neither be Prophets nor martyrs, will possess such lofty ranks that even the Prophets and martyrs will admire them. Their faces will shine with radiance, and the brightness of their countenances will dazzle the eyes of those who look at them.
The reason for this honour will be that just as delicious food is beloved to people in this world, similarly, the remembrance of Allah and His pure words will have been most beloved to them.
In summary, the rank of those who sincerely remember Allah is exalted and magnificent in the sight of Allah, and it shall remain so. Therefore, whenever these sacred litanies are recited, they should be recited with utmost respect, sincerity, and conviction. If one performs the remembrance of Allah outwardly with full attention, yet harbours disrespectful thoughts regarding these sacred words or allows doubt to enter the heart, then instead of benefit, great harm may result.
Satan (Iblis) was once regarded as the teacher of the angels and had access throughout the heavens. On one occasion, he saw a locked chamber and asked Allah, “O Allah! What is inside it?” Allah commanded, “If you wish to see what is inside, worship Me for seven thousand years.”
Thus, he engaged in worship, and after seven thousand years, the lock was opened. He found another door with another lock upon it. Again, he asked, and again he was commanded to worship for another seven thousand years. This continued until it occurred seven times, amounting to forty-nine thousand years of worship.
When the final lock was opened, he saw written upon the wall:
“La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah”
(There is no deity except Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.)
At that moment, Satan thought, “I have wasted all these years in worship. I already knew this Kalimah before.” Due to this disrespectful thought, he immediately became accursed and rejected.
When Satan refused to prostrate before Prophet Adam (AS), the Holy Qur’an used the past tense regarding him:
وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ
“Wa kana minal kafireen”
(And he was among the disbelievers.)
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 34)
This means that he was already among the disbelievers. He became a disbeliever because he failed to honour the Divine Kalimah.
Had the thought occurred to him, “SubhanAllah! I never truly realised the greatness and honour of this blessed Kalimah. What an immense treasure it is! All praise be to Allah that today He has granted me its deeper understanding,” and had he turned to Allah in humility through its blessing, his supplication would have been accepted, and his rank would have risen tremendously.
Therefore, whenever Allah grants us the opportunity to engage in His remembrance, we should regard it as a tremendous blessing and honour. We should continually seek and hope for such opportunities so that, through the blessings of these sacred litanies, one may truly benefit to the fullest extent.
Now, let us begin.

Thereafter, the Awrad-e-Naziriyah Sharif were recited and supplication (Dua) was offered..
