فَنِعۡمَ الۡمَوۡلٰی وَ نِعۡمَ النَّصِیۡرُ

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ
All Praise be to Allah Almighty
A hundred thousand thanks are due to Allah Almighty, the Exalted in Majesty, who has granted us once again this day the blessing and opportunity to gather here for His pleasure, in His remembrance and in His love. Countless blessings and peace be upon the Leader of the Prophets, the Beloved of God, Muhammad Mustafa, upon whom be peace, through whose noble mediation this immense grace has reached us.
Respected listeners! Allah Almighty has stated in the Holy Qur’an. Surah Al-Ma’idah, Verse 35: O you who believe! O you who have accepted that God is our Lord and Creator, and have believed in the Holy Qur’an, and accept God’s final Prophet, the Master of the Universe, Muhammad, peace be upon him, as the Beloved of God and His final Prophet, and are certain that a Day will come when God will gather us all together, and question you about every blessing He granted you in this world. He will place all your deeds before you, and your own limbs will testify against you. If you truly believe in all these things, then care for your salvation, so that on that Day you may not be disgraced or humiliated. Strive to save yourselves from Hell, which is indeed a dreadful place. The path to do this is to follow what pleases Allah, to strive and work hard in the way of God, so that you may be saved from disgrace in both worlds and be granted the joys of both worlds.
Now, first, what is ‘WASILAH’? Wasilah comes from ‘WASL’, which means to meet and to connect. It means to meet and connect with inclination and love. There are scholars present here, and people who know Arabic as well; I hope they will agree with me. I am not a scholar of Arabic; I convey to you what Allah Almighty enables me to understand. A WASILAH is that which brings someone together with another through inclination and love. Now we must consider: what is it that brings a person to God with love?
God Himself has explained this: Surah Aal-e-Imran, verse 31.
“God instructs the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to announce to the entire universe, to all creation, that whoever wishes to love Allah Almighty should follow Muhammad, peace be upon him; then God will love him.”
In other words, to form a bond of love with God, it is essential first to love the Beloved of God, peace be upon him, and to connect with him. This very connection is the Nisbat-e-Rasuli, peace be upon him. That is, to establish a complete bond with God—a bond that cannot be achieved without perfect love, and without which a person cannot attain true love. This complete connection is necessary in the same way a light bulb must be connected to a power station. There must not be the slightest gap in that connection, and the arrival of light is proof that the connection is complete. Similarly, when a person’s connection becomes complete, and he attains the Nisbat-e-Rasooli, peace be upon him, then those beautiful qualities contained in the blessed heart of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, are reflected upon that person, which brings true contentment and is the cause of honor and success in both worlds. Thus, God commands that, for salvation, for liberation from the constraints, humiliations, hardships, anxieties, sorrows, and dependencies of this world, and to present yourself as a true servant before God in the Hereafter, you must strive earnestly in this short life.
This life is not for you to keep bowing before everything in this world, chasing after it, and then leaving empty-handed, abandoning everything behind. Rather, this life is a chance, because Allah Almighty has prepared countless blessings for you in the Hereafter—blessings that you cannot even imagine in this life, and all of them can be yours. This life will certainly pass, but the life of the Hereafter is eternal. What you earn in this world is what you will receive in the next, and after that there will be no change. If there is happiness, it will be everlasting, and if there is humiliation, it will be everlasting. So what effort should be made for this? What striving should be undertaken? For this, all the guidance has been conveyed to us by Allah Almighty through the blessed sunnah of the beloved Prophet, peace be upon him. Act upon it with strictness, devote yourself to the service and obedience of the Prophet, and engage in abundant remembrance of God, through which your hearts will be purified, your sins forgiven, your hearts illuminated by divine lights and manifestations, and in this way, the joys of both worlds will be laid before you.
