All praise is for Allah. Countless thanks to Allah Almighty, the Sovereign of all creation, Who has once again granted us the opportunity to gather here in His remembrance and love, seeking His pleasure.

Millions of blessings and peace be upon the Leader of the Prophets, the Beloved of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), through whose blessed intercession this grace has been bestowed upon us.

Respected listeners!

Allah Almighty says:

“Say, O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.”

— Surah Az-Zumar, 39:53

Translation:

O Muhammad (PBUH), tell those servants of Mine who have wronged themselves not to lose hope in the mercy of Allah. Surely, Allah forgives all sins. Turn towards Allah before the punishment comes, for once it comes, there will be no one to help.

Allah, the Most Merciful, does not desire that any of His servants enter Hell. Whoever ultimately ends up there does so because of his own wrongdoing.

Although the soul and Satan may mislead a person, one should never despair after committing a sin, thinking that Allah is angry and will certainly cast him into Hell. Rather, one should immediately repent, turn towards Allah, and feel sincere remorse, so that Allah may forgive him and save him from punishment.

Allah desires that His servants return to Him with humility and repentance so that He may shower His mercy upon them. But if a person persists in arrogance, negligence, and misguidance, then punishment will eventually come. At that time, neither intellect nor strength, wealth nor knowledge, friends nor worldly influence will be of any benefit.

A Hadith relates that one day the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was seated when a Companion came to him carrying something in his lap. When he opened it before the Prophet (PBUH), there were baby pigeons inside, while their mother was spreading her wings over them.

The Prophet (PBUH) asked what they were. The Companion explained that he had found the chicks in some bushes and had taken them. Their mother then came and sat upon his lap in an attempt to protect her young.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, in meaning:

“Look at the love this bird has for her young, risking her own life to save them. Do you find this love surprising? By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, Allah is far more merciful to His servants than this mother is to her chicks.”

Dear audience!

This is why Allah Almighty has prepared countless blessings for His servants in this world and in the Hereafter. Yet people often forget His greatness and mercy. They become absorbed in the blessings He has bestowed upon them while forgetting the One Who is the Giver of all blessings.

In this way, they invite the displeasure of Allah and ultimately face humiliation in this world and punishment in the Hereafter.

Those who are favored by Allah, however, live with His fear in their hearts. They remain grateful for His blessings and obedient to His commands. They consider the remembrance and love of Allah more precious than anything else.

When a person becomes negligent of the remembrance of Allah, it is a sign that the heart has lost its fear of Him. But for those who truly fear Allah, His forgiveness and mercy are always near.

This gathering of Aurad-e-Pak is for those who give priority to the remembrance of Allah, love Him, and keep His fear alive within their hearts.

Neither worldly attachments nor worldly occupations prevent them from attending this gathering. It is through the favor of Allah Almighty and the blessed grace of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that He has granted us this opportunity.

The purpose of this gathering is to recite the sacred litanies so that Allah Almighty may forgive the shortcomings caused by the desires of the soul, the whisperings of Satan, and our own negligence.

May Allah immerse us in His mercy, keep our tongues engaged in His remembrance, and fill our hearts with His love, so that we may attain success in both this world and the Hereafter.

Hazrat Abu Dharr (RA) narrated that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Whoever meets Allah without associating anyone with Him, even if his sins are as great as mountains, Allah will forgive him.”

Praise be to Allah that those present here have not considered worldly comfort, occupations, parents, children, or worldly attachments more important than this blessed gathering.

May Allah Almighty accept our remembrance, forgive our shortcomings, fill our hearts with His love and fear, and grant us success in both worlds.

Now, let us begin.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Aurad-e-Naziriya Sharif were recited, followed by supplication.
