Delivered on: 23 May 1985

Speech No. 15

All praise is for Allah.

Countless thanks to Allah Almighty, the Sovereign Lord, who once again granted us the opportunity and ability to gather here for His pleasure, in His remembrance, and in His love. Millions upon millions of blessings and salutations be upon the Leader of the Prophets, the Beloved of Allah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, through whose blessed mediation these divine favors have been bestowed upon us.

Respected listeners!

As usual, we shall begin the recitation of the sacred Awrad Pak. Before doing so, there are some important points that deserve our attention.

Allah Almighty has said:

(Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 133)

Translation:

“Hasten towards the forgiveness of your Lord and towards Paradise.”

A blessed Hadith states that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said:

A person should value his life and time and turn towards Allah before seven things overtake him:

  • Poverty that may become so severe that a person falls into despair and reaches the brink of disbelief.
  • Wealth that may lead a person to arrogance, rebellion, and ultimately to Hellfire.
  • Debilitating old age that weakens the mind and senses, rendering a person helpless.
  • Illness that leaves a person incapable and dependent.
  • Death, which is certain and cuts off all worldly opportunities.
  • The appearance of Dajjal, a great trial for humanity.
  • The Day of Judgment, when there will be overwhelming fear and chaos for all.

We should express gratitude to Allah Almighty for granting us the opportunity to turn towards Him. First, we should thank Him sincerely, and then begin His remembrance with true devotion and sincerity. May these blessed recitations (Awrad Pak) become a means of expressing our gratitude and repentance before Allah, and may they also become a source of His mercy and blessings for our future.

Now let us begin:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Thereafter, Awrad-e-Naziriyah Sharif was recited, and a collective supplication (Dua) was offered.
